Traffic Statistics - April 2012

 

 

Dublin & London, 4 May 2012: Aer Lingus Group plc ("Aer Lingus"), today announced traffic statistics for the month of April 2012.

 

Total flown passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, increased by 3.2% in April 2012. Aer Lingus' total flown passenger numbers in April 2012 were 811,000, an increase of 1.4% compared to April 2011. Short haul flown passengers in April 2012 were 732,000, an increase of 0.7% on April 2011, while long haul flown passengers in April 2012 were 79,000, an increase of 8.2% on April 2011.

 

Aer Lingus' flown passenger load factor in April 2012 increased by 2.8 points on April 2011 to 72.7%. Short haul flown load factor was 71.5%, an increase of 1.4 points on April 2011, with capacity decreasing by 1.1%. Long haul flown load factor was 75.1%, an increase of 5.6 points on April 2011, with capacity in line with April 2011.

 

Aer Lingus Regional's total flown passenger numbers in April 2012 were 79,000, an increase of 27.4% compared to April 2011.
