For firms seeking higher performance, lower latency access to market data and order management, the following interfaces offered by the ISE may be of particular interest:
- the Enhanced Broadcast Solution (EnBS), and
- the Enhanced Transaction Solution (ETS).
Both interfaces are optional and are especially suited to firms that pursue particular types of trading strategies, such ashighly-automated trading.
The Enhanced Broadcast Solution provides access to un-netted order book market data in real-time with extended market depth. The interface delivers:
- market data with significantly improved performance,
- more efficient use of bandwidth,
- a more granular subscription model and
- un-netted prices with order book depth in excess of the current level of ten.
The EnBS interface provides reference data, inside market data, state change and “All Trade Price” broadcasts for the ISE Xetra® order book. (Off order book trades are not included in data disseminated via EnBS).
The Enhanced Transaction Solution offers high-speed access for core trading activities with the focus on order and quote maintenance functions. It also can be used for off order book and MiFID trade reporting. The trading socket-based interface has the following main characteristics:
- asynchronous message-based,
- flexibility in choosing the operating systems, and
- session-oriented.
Member firms interested in using ETS should note that VALUES functionality or Web Trading tokens will still be required for back-office (e.g. trade confirmation) and administrative (e.g. trader ID setup) functions. ETS and VALUES API are both available as part of the ISE Xetra® Multi-Interface Channel which also includes the ISE Xetra® FIX Gateway and ISE Xetra® Market Data Interface.
Member firms wishing to connect to EnBS or ETS should contact the Traded Markets Infrastructure department by e-mail to: isexetra@ise.ie or by telephone to +353 1 6174200.
