Market Makers input continuous two way prices throughout the continuous trading period based on atleast the minimum quote quantity, and within a specified bid offer spread. Market Makers provide additional liquidity in securities and operate on ISE's markets in Irish Government bonds, equities and ETFs.

Market Making in Securities traded on ISE Xetra®
A number of member firms act as Market Makers in securities which trade on ISE Xetra®.Market makers maintain quotes in securities in which they act as market maker throughout the continuous tradingperiod. The ISE, together with the registered market makers, has established parameters for the minimum quote quantity and the maximum quote(bid/ask) spread for each security. These are outlined in the Market Parameters and are updated periodically.
Market Makers on ISE Xetra® benefit from lower transaction fees for executed quotes and exclusive access to the auction surplus.
How to become a Market Maker
Any member firm with access to ISE Xetra®and meeting the requirements specified in the Rules of the ISE may apply to become a Market Maker.The application procedure is set out in Chapter 5 of the Rules of the ISE.
