Market Infrastructure

This section of the website provides information on the trading, clearing and settlement service which the ISE offers its member firms.

The ISE provides member firms with access to trade equities, ETFs and GEM securities on its electronic trading platform, ISE Xetra®.

In addition, membership of the ISE also offers firms the opportunity to trade in Irish Government Bonds on Exchange.

Market Making: In order to enhance liquidity in the Irish Government Bond market and in the securities trading on the ISE Xetra® orderbook, the ISE provides a market making service with attractive benefits.

Trading on the Irish Stock Exchange allows for efficient settlement of trades through links with the electronic settlement systems of CREST, Euroclear Bank, Clearstream Banking Luxembourg and the DTCC.

Member firms may choose to settle their own ISE trades or appoint a settlement firm.

The ISE offers member firms an efficient post-trade infrastructure. Eurex Clearing AG is the central counterparty for trades executed on the ISE Xetra® orderbook. Irish Government Bonds may be cleared through Euroclear Bank or another clearing system which is linked to the Euroclear system.

Trade Reporting

The ISE provides trade reporting services in all securities admitted to its markets, and can also offer a fully MiFID compliant service to enable firms to comply with the MiFID post-trade transparency requirements.
