The Regulation Department approves Registered Trader and Other User applications. The Rules governing Registered Traders are covered in chapter 3 of the Rules of the Irish Stock Exchange, which is available here.
Registered Traders
A Registered Trader is an individual who executes trades on the ISE's markets on behalf of clients of a member firm of the ISE or on the firm's own account.
Other Users
System Administrators or those responsible for Direct Market Access trading etc, may also apply to become an Other User.

ISE Xetra Exam
Registered Traders wishing to access the ISE Xetra trading system may need to sit the ISE Xetra exam. For further information, click here.
Registered Stockbroker Scheme (IoB)
The Registered Stockbroker scheme and the Certificate in Stockbroking qualification are run by the Institute of Bankers. Please refer to their website, www.bankers.ie for further information.
